2004 jeep liberty no brake light is there a fuse full

The brake light passenger side went out. I replaced the bulb and the other one while I was at it.

WHICH FUSE IF FOR THE AC CLUTCH and what amp is it . Also is it located inside the door

But the passenger side brake light still doesn't work. Even tried switching bulbs to use the one that I knew was working on driver's side, but still wouldn't work on passenger side. I see that there's only one fuse control for both lights. Can you tell me how to fix this. Your help is really appreciated. Since the problem is only on one side, you can rule out the fuse and other parts of the circuit that are shared by both bulbs.

I would look closely at the connector for the nonfunctional bulb, as it may be damaged or corroded. Since the bulbs share more of the same circuit components, lack of power indicates a problem in the power side wiring. No ground would indicate a bad ground connection or a problem with the wiring on the ground side of the circuit.

Bad multi-function switch on the stalk, or bad ground in that harness? No, alternator and battery were wild goose chases. All you see is a multi-wire plug. The part, which looks like a circuit board, actually slides into where plug plugs in.

Mark answered 2 years ago. Wolfepak3 answered about a year ago. After researching further online some posts suggested it is the multifunction switch on the steering column.

Apparently there is a circuit that goes through the turn signals to dim the brake light as the directional is on. Haven't replaced it yet, gonna check with meter to see if that is it first.

GuruC3NRG answered about a year ago. I found that the connection between the taillight and the socket are dirty clean them with sandpaper brake lights work fine. GuruSH46M answered about a year ago. I was checking the pins with a multimeter for ground and continuity and found the light started working. I went to the other side and just cleaned the contacts on the plug that that connects to the assembly the holds all three bulbs and bingo it started to work.

So the issue is dirty or corroded contacts. It worked! None of the bulbs appeared spent, so I have no explanation. All good Destand2work answered 9 months ago. I have the same exact problem.Jeep Liberty owners have reported 10 problems related to brake light on under the service brakes category.
